Well your PO4 are way ro high Ca is a bit low see no mention of the Magnesium and the Alk are 2.3 is just way to low thats less then 7 DKH abpout 6.5 for the hair splitters out there.. Thats one reason you lost you SPS corals ..

Get the Magnesium to 1400 Ppm
the bump the Ca to 425 minium
and DKH at 13 or so = closer to 5.0 M/l

The tank I bought from a friend and used his live sand and live rock plus I added everything from my tank. I don't know if this was right but this is what I did....like I said I used the live rock and live sand that came with the tank. I added my live rock, sand, and all the water from my tank. I left my critters in the totes while I set up the new tank. There was a heater and bubbler in the totes. Before adding my critters to the new tank, I acclimated them using the drip method from water contents that were in my new tank, which would have consisted of water they were already in, plus new water that I made(like doing a water change). I did this acclimation because I figured the live rock and sand that they weren't used to would change the water in the tank some so I just acclimated like I would a new fish. Hopefully, I explained that well. I know what I mean .

After the transition, I set up my refugium sump and put one new piece of live rock in there to hold down the small plants that I got.

That's all I can think of that I did. I can't figure out why the phosphates were up unless it was from the new live sand I was using. I tested my fresh RO/DI water and no phosphates there. The only other thing I put in there was that "Frag Station" that I already mentioned.

    Today my tank reads:

pH 7.8, nitrite 0, ammonia 0, nitrate 0, phosphate 1.0, mag .77, calc 400, alk 2.6, dKH 12, SG 1.025. I can't figure out where these phosphates are coming from :confused::confused:, what gives??????????? So, I did a 25 gallon water change and added some Kalkwasser and another pad with phosphate reducer in it. I also changed my actinics to come on at 9:30 am MH 10:30; MH go off at 7:00 pm and blues off at 8. Am I on the right track with that? It seems awfully long time for the MH.

If your increasing the length of time your lighting is on, don't do it all at once like that. you had it on for 5 hours a day before, and now your going 8.5 hours? This will also cause stress to any other types of coral you have (also causing more bleaching). I'd incrase by an hour maybe every 3-4 weeks at most.

I think you are having a small cycle even just moving the sand around in an established tank or rearranging the rockwork can throw off levels I would not go too crazy just do a few small water changes and give the tank some time to settle down. The corals have been through worse just think what they went through getting to your LFS you know that had to be much more stressful than sitting in a tote for a few hours I think the tank is going to settle down.

Yep, if you just moved everything, just let it chill. I just found that part of my greenbirds nest was bleaching. Found that it was being blocked from light. I had it so high in the tank, the back was too close and not getting enough light. It was basically behind the reflector. Just make sure your water is good, water changes, and all you corals are getting light. Then ride it out. Thats all you can do. IMO
