I lost 2 blue leg crabs, 1 Margarita snail, and I found 1 of my Turbo snails up side down. I moved the turbo snail to the glass and he stuck on but I dont know how long he was upside down..

My tank is only a 10g with 13lb of LR. 1 Watermelon mushroom, 1 Purple Mushroom, 1 fuzzy green mushroom, Mixed zoos, 1 Kenya tree, 1 false clown, 7 blue leg crabs, 2 Margarita snails, 2 Nassairus Snails, 2 Turbo Snails, and 1 Bumbble Bee snail currently in a cup with holes for Isolation, because I found him in one of the Margarita snails.

    Tha tankk has a Penguion 150, 100w Heater, 2 x 20w coralife screw in 50/50, and a Rio 50.

    I keep my Par at

    sal 1.024
    temp 77
    cal 480
    alk 11 dk
    Amo o.o
    nitrite 0.0
    nitrate <20
    phos <0.025

The Tank is about 8 weeks old. I am goning to check all params but Im lost...

If the parameters are normal, my next question is whether they had enough in the tank to eat? Was there enough algae/leftover food/detritus for a crew of that size in the 10g tank?

I checked every thing, here are my results

    Sal 1.0235
    temp 77.4
    amon 0.0
    nitrite 0.0
    nitrate 0.02
    ph 8.2
    alk 11 dkh
    cal 500 ppm

My Nitrates keep going back up to 0.02, I am doing 3 gal change every 4 days or so. I feed 3 to 4 1mm pelets a every other day and frozen brine shrimp on the opposite day. I give the turbos a 1/2 inchsq of green algae each every week. I feed with marine snow every 8 to 9 days. The LR is realy clean now... and I have been cuting back the amount of food I put in the last 2 weeks because of the nitrate levels..

Dont worry about the nitrates, they are fine. Your salinity seems a little bit low, but I dont know if thats the problem. My problem with crabs in the past is that they are their own problem. What I think could be a possible cause, which I have seen through my own experience, is that the crabs could be killing the snails and each other for their shells. Which Is why I really dont like keeping them.

I have seen my blue leg crabs picking at the turbo snail that is not doing well now..

He has fallen off the glass again and i put him back on and trying to get him to eat some green agae.
Should I remove him from the tank, and I took the crab and snail shells out should I put them back in ??

Well, if you can, I would put the snails in there first for a while and see how they do. If you could manage to keep the crabs in a seperate container for a few hours, do that just so you can observe the snails on their own. If they do well, then add the crabs and see if the problems start again. If also heard of some people adding extra shells for the crabs, they say that it will help them to be less inclined to hunt for them. But I never got to that point before giving up on crabs, nor did I want a bunch a hermit shells all over.

I would put the shells back in. Also, maybe that one snail is just a gonner? There might not be a reason for it being sick, could just be nature.......especially with the others doing well. I really think the crabs are fighting each other though. Tonight, try to see what they are doing at lights out. Also, and this is just me, whenever a fish dies, I always feed it to a coral instead of flushing it..........kinda like making sure I get every dollars worth! : )

I put the shells back in, And Iam going to keep an eye on them.
When should I remove the turbo snail?
After he dies? He keeps falling off the glass.

Thanks for the help, I hope I dont lose to much more. Maybe I will get my refug before tolo long and help get my nitrates where I whant them so I can feed more with out worry.... ;)

Your nitrates really arent much to worry about. But the fuge will help, I would just let the snail be, if he dies, I would leave him, something will eat it.
