    3 chromis
    1 cardinal
    1 orange clown
    1 black clown

6 total for biocube 29. LFS guy said it was okay, but need to do more water change then before. What does 3reef say?

Not sure on bio-load/fish quantity/water quality with that particular system and/or your maintenance regimen. I can see potential issues when your chromis crew haphazardly wanders into the clownfish pair's home. What type of cardinal specifically? Which fish out of your list are you definite on?

ya but the clowns should defend there turf and show to the chromis that this is my home back up. What kind of filtration are you running. It sounds like this is a max for the system but hey each persons tank is diff. I say its good but keep an eye on the clowns there goofy ass fish, lol heck mine beatup my sailfin tang and hes a big fish so theres no telling.

clown has a turf? I never seen in my life my clown going into or near the rocks. lol even when the lights are off. I was thinking Bangai cardinal fish...i might not even get the black clown since they are so expensive. So its maybe 5 fish.

I would think that would be the max load for a fish only tank with lots of water changes. Since you are also keeping corals, you are probably going to have limited coral growth and possibly coral losses. Most corals require much more stable water parameters than fish do and a heavy boi-load in a small tank is not a stable environment. I believe most people with sucsessful small coral reef tanks have a very small number of fish, some don't have any fish.

Personally, I would lose 1 clown and the cardinal, and add in a royal gramma and a firefish for some diverse colors and a slightly smaller bio load.

just about any fish will jump if they get scared. some just do it more than others. if you have a covered lid then you will be fine.
