    look im a little faded and like every one else here I love my tank & sometimes im wrong in my judjment but I try and what I want to know is my filter running wright I made some changes to it but If it can be improved I want to know here is some pictures the specs is as follows

    return pump 1000gph
    skimmer pump 400gph
    random circulation pump unknown
    fuge 5gal water bottle cut at top 18wat Light

    It's a little hard for me to make things out, but I don't see anything glaringly wrong. The only thing I would change out is the flex pipe. I don't like flex pipe. I had a small flood secondary to flex pipe once. I replaced it with PVC.

    are you talking about the hose in picture 5 ? if so that is the hose from my HOB skimmer box drain which I take off a clean and move around time to time I think changing that to pvc would more a hasel at this time in the future im going to make custom drain boxes like I seen Otty do in his tank thread. the return is a powerhead 5000 1000gph 1 inch hose with a balvalve the return in on the right side of picture 3.

    In picture #2. If you run a hose from that output directly to the water, you'll have less evaporation. Not sure how much but, some. It'll also quiet it down a bit.
