    First things first a big thanks to night-rida for the build instructions and links for this build.....you rock..
    OK,got most of it done today,the wiring,soldering(I think I did pretty good)...just got to pick up the wood to attach the aluminum strip to..now I had some trouble finding the right piece of aluminum to use for a heat sink.I was only able to find a 48" aluminum rule,soo I drilled some holes in it and glued the leds instead of going with screws..here are some pics so far.will have it mounted in the tank prob in the next few days...all I have to say is these things are BRIGHT:sunny:8)...

    Should have it mounted in the next day or so..I did however hold it up to the tank and really makes a nice difference..should look good when I switch from 14k to 10k bulbs...

    looking good my friend! looks even better with 12 leds! good idea with the alum. ruler. is that 2" wide? and how much did you pay for it? I also cant wait to see the FTS pics.. K+

    yes he did..post some pics when you get them set up..

    Thanks...yip its a 2" wide ruler and it cost 8 bucks at HD..I will try to get them in real soon and will do a comparison shot.....OH and you were right that soldering wasn't bad at all,after the first two it was a piece of cake...
