It's all in my head LOL but I drew this for you....I forgot to draw the return to the tank, but you get what I mean. The question I have is that the fuge will run slow but the sump will run fast they are connected together and that makes no sense to me. How do you slow it down and then speed it up without the sump part drying up, since the fuge is running slower Am I missing something here?

Some what... I would set the cat liter pail in the rubbermade and let it just OF into the rubbermade/sump. This way you could use the cat liter pail for the fuge since you only want the fuge to be 1/10 the size of the display tank.

The kitty litter bucket is 4 gallons.

OK, I just had two different scenarios go thru my head and neither make sense......I'll figure that out when I get to it...I'm really confused now..

Scenario 1. Setting my sump/c.l.p.(cat litter pail), where it will overflow into the fuge/rmt(rubbermade tub). Having my p.s. in the cat litter bucket(?) and my return pump to the tank...this is where it makes no sense to me. I'm just not seeing it.

Scenario 2 was worse than one........

If I put the sump into the fuge and let it overflow then where do I put my skimmer and return, into the fuge too? what would be the purpose of the sump?

Hey C-GRAS, How much room (total) below your tank do you have for your sump/fuge? Can you post a pic of that?

C-GRAS, you can achieve the same idea your on using cheap 20-30 gallon long glass aquariums. Using containers get the job done, but, being able to look inside both is killer. I stare into my sump/fuge almost as much as my display. My cabinet is almost never closed. The wife doesn't care too much for that though.[IMG]

That would be great but I'm trying to do with with stuff I already have. I've accumulated a lot of junk and I need to find a use for it all...:)

if your using silicone to bond acrylic to acrylic, in time it will come apart. you need to use either weld-on #16 or #40.

I'm using Amphibious Solvent Cement first, the aquarium silicone over it.:)
