my eclipse 3 lighting

    yes i know it is a horrible design, but it is all i have for now... anyway am i able to have any type of soft corals with this minimal lighting in my 37g with an eclipse 3(1 f18t8 marineland bulb and 1 marine-glo blue bulb inside of the housing). or am i out of luck until i upgrade?

    +1 it would be hard to even grow plants under that.

    Ok Next question..

    if i was to upgrade... since the eclipse 3 lighting has charcoal filtration and a biowheel all in the top.

    what would be the best choice for a metal halide setup and filtration to turn my 37g reef? but not spending a complete fortune obviously.

    also i will still have my protein skimmer that has a filtration media cartridge integrated.

    If you want to have MH, one of the 150W MH pendants will do just fine. What kind of skimmer do you have? If you already have the skimmer, your filtration is fine as it is.

    it is a prizm, i regret getting it and wish i had purchased the remora, but to late for that now. although i actually havent had any problems with it, and it seems to be skimming nicely right now
