Yeah, i left for spring break and 9 days later i came back (to my little 12 gallon, back at college). The eel cleaner shrimp now has spots and blotches of black on its exoskeleton. What does this mean? My nitrite levels are good, my pH is good, the nitrates might be a little iffy, and the ammonia is a little iffy. I just did a water change to get the nitrates and ammonia down. The temperature isn't regulated but i dont think that it would affect the shrimp in that way. The only other possibility is the partially cured rock that i put in. Any help or explanation is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Hmm interesting. I somtimes noticed a black spot or two on my cleaner shrimps now and then. I do not think it is anything to worry about. Maybe just keep a look out for any strange behavior.
