I brought 2 scooters home.the second day I was following them for a few hours. Then, one was gone. I could not find him anywhere, so I started moving my lr around (i don't have that much-30lbs)i got a little scared. then he showed up.later when i turned the lights off, i saw them hiding in the sand 8othat's where he went. p.s. stressed over a genetics exam, i stop and read your threads every hour or so, helps alot.thanks everyone.

i hope you have a TON of pods in there for them.. 30 pounds of live rock isn't gonna be sufficient enough for 2 scooter blennies. You should get them a better home unless your tank is filled with pods or they are eating prepared foods.

Burrowing in the sand is normal BUT if they are doing it most of the time the lights are on and not out searching for food, it may be too late for the little guys :( I have given mine live/frozen brine and bloodworms to get them to fatten up a bit. Hope you are as lucky as I am!

I just have the one scooter...80 lbs of rock...lots of pods...but he eats/grazes most everything, especially the crushed coral...loves to burrow in the PM....if you know where he likes to hang out you can find his eye brows looking around...real cool fish...and a great tool.
