Ok.....I've never given much thought to the networking sites that all of the teens used. However, one day, I was waiting on a call so I thought I would sign up for Facebook.

I must say, I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience. A friend I haven't seen in 15 years is now living in England with her husband. Her little sister, also a friend, is also in the UK. When I was in high school, there was an exchange student from Norway. I've talked with him for the first time in 20 years. I've now talked with friends from Tennessee, Montana, Ohio, Kentucky as well as the friends I've kept in touch with.

That whole Kevin Bacon Six Degrees of Separation is true.....it's quite fun.

I found a few people on MySpace. It was pretty cool. Honestly, at the time, I didn't realize it mostly a kid thing. I just started having fun with it and realized I was the old man on the site. Oh well..........

I joined Facebook primarily as a career connection- not much luck there, but it is a great way to keep in touch with my long-distance friends and family. A bonus is the photo posts and links (the pic-police would be proud!)

I've been on it like two years I think and it is a good way to keep in touch with people, especially now that all my friends went around the state to college. Myspace is a waste of time IMO because of all the ads and it is really hard to find people on your friends list.
