Looks like a good list to me my man. You may need to add pods from time to time for the Mandy, but that's no biggie. I dono anything about lobsters, so maybe someone with one can help ya out there

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Personally I think it is the remains of something perhaps a sponge or maybe even byssal threads from a mollusk.

so i finally traced back how long my tank has been up for today was day 25 and i made some changes. i received my carbon filters friday and i removed 2 bio wheels out of one of my penguin 350's also on the one that i removed the bio wheels from i added 2 carbon filters i will remove them in a cpl of days. i also rechecked my parameters and ph 8.0, ammonia 0, nitrites .75-1.0, nitrates 20. so it looks like the cycle has started moving again after a 25% water change. hopefully by taking out 2 bio wheels i wont ruin the cycle and the nitrates will start to drop a little. the girl at the LFS asked if i wanted anything in particular when she goes to pickup fish on tuesday and shes going to see if she can get a mated pair of true perculas for me so i hope the nitrites are closer to 0 by then

so im stuck on what to do. with my tank being a tall and not a wide i only have 12in depth, i currently have 25lbs of dry rock and 10lbs of live rock far short of the 1.5lbs per gallon for my 45g. i can order more dry rock for my tank no problem but im not sure i can fit it correctly inside the tank. is 35lbs enough for my FOWLR or should i attempt to get more dry rock

If it's a FOWLR, you should probably be alright. I had like 30 lbs or so in my 40 gallon for about a month before I added more, and it was fine. Instead of ordering the rock, try looking around at an LFS for some. That way you can find a piece that you know can fit.

Didn't see anyone answer the lobo question, but I wouldn't recommend crustation like that. It is too much of a risk to your other livestock and corals. Especially if you will have a Mandarin. They are pretty slow and can become a lunch for the lobo.

What usually happens is at feeding time all the faster fish eats everything and then you say all done so you don't overfeed. This is when you start getting a very hungry lobster that will go for slower or smaller fish.
