Well, my montis have been growing so well, i decided to give an acro a go.

Not pirticularly colourful but it came with a gorg acro crab so i got it, altho i misjudged its size and realized i had no where for it to go lol

Should i be worried its so close to my clam?

It wont always be that colour IMO -could be any colour ultimately - I have given up trying to predict

    some novice opinions

Id be more concerned with the Xenia than with the proximity of the clam
if it where mine, I would thin out some Xenia and create space for the 1st of many SPS corals (prediction)

IM limited E - SPS appreciate far more water movement than the Xenia will be happy in,
and also IME more than the Clam would like

Thanks for the advice, its actually in direct flow of a powerhead so i think the flow is grand.

As far as the xenia goes, id be happy if the acro kiilled it all...... its a devil in my tank.

Maybe lower it down a bit....what kind of lights are you running!

You may get lucky still and it may come back....or not go all the way!

Might not be you, could be a disease like RTN. That causes the coral to go white really fast. I had a stylo turn completely white in less than a day from RTN.

Does it look like the tissue is flaking/sloughing off, or is it just that it's bleaching?

That was my first reaction, but its stuck down now and i fear that moving it will only make it worse. x4 T5s
I reckon by the morning it will be bleached completely.

Yep, in the wild when mass bleaching occurs, that happens over night.
