thats nuts man! probably once a small work but the BP oil mutated it into wormzilla lmao.

anyways, i have a rusty angel and he leaves my shrooms alone so far ( 6 months) on the other hand, my foxface at all my xenia. theres no way to tell with these fish... i mean think about us, maybe we dont care for a certain food but then for some random reason we like it... same goes for fish!? haha

Patrick, usually angels go after the expensive SPS and other more desirable corals. If a certain dwarf angel would only eat shrooms, and not touch any other corals or clams, then I and many other folks would buy one.

Speak for yourself. I don't really like SPS coral that much personally.

I'll give you time. You've only been in the hobby a short while.

What about clams? Everyone loves those, and most angels will pick at those.

    Horkn,

Do you think an occasional nip of a clams mantle by a fish is a big deal?

In the wild, they must get munched on, so it seems they probably grow that tissue back pretty fast.

    What do you think?

I think it's a big deal. I paid for my clams ;), and in the ocean, where there are clams, there are usually a lot of them. Also in the ocean there is a lot of room. In an aquarium if you have an angel that nips at clams, then the chances that that clam gets harassed to death are much greater than in the ocean simply as a confinement issue.

I don't think wild or captive clams grow their mantle tissue back very quickly.

No, I like softies and LPS. And the clams are neat but I don't see the big novelty with them either.
