My First Coral

Thanks! I'm not feeding the tank anything, right now. Just been trying to stabilize and get a grasp on maintenance.

Is feeding necessary for this coral? I haven't purchased any food yet--pretty lost when it comes to all the choices....

 

No kenyas, like all leather coral, do not need to be fed.
They are great though, and in no time you will have many more kenya trees

 

For some reason my kenya tree wont propgate... Everything else in my tank has. I have had it in my tank almost 3 months and it has grown taller but hasnt dropped any tree's yet. Wonder why???

I've been learning so much about equipment and set up in order to start my tank--it's kinda exciting when something begins to materialize from it... On the other hand, it really starts making me realize how little I know about the corals and animals...

 

I know how you feel.
That is how everybody feels when they first get your tank. It just takes time, and then you will have an awesome, thriving reef.

How big is it? Many just 'decide' not to propagate, and they can be the size of a softball before they drop.
