Leather toadstool mushroom. I have a massive pair in my tank. Very hardy, likes medium flow and any amount of light you give it. They can get quite large in a couple years time. Mine are about 12" diameter each.

Yours look fantastic. Good polyp extension means it is happy.

my girl picked it up for me she didnt even ask what the name was. We live in a small town that never has coral, so as soon as she saw it she just grabbed it without even asking me. We check our pet store weekly and this is the first coral they have had in the 6 monthes since i set up this tank.

great choice for a 1st coral IMO cobraskulls

some things to be aware of, so you dont get spooked when they happen

softies like this periodically close down, withdraw all polyps and look scrunched up
they then shed the outer layer of skin, which comes off like a thin sheet and drifts off
within a couple of days they are back to former glory

so the 1st time it happens , dont worry about it

they can and sometimes do close down for a week or so, even when they are not moulting
so dont worry, 1st time it does not open for a day or so

    Steve
