My First Frags!!!

Well i got my first frags today, thanks to fellow 3reefer. modifyd
Heres a couple of pic's. Once again thank you

Green Star Polyps


Orange Zoanthids



Parazoanthus



Traded 2Hermit crabs 2Pepermint Shrimp. And 1 Emerald crab for these.
I believe i got the better end of the deal

I never understood frags though. I personally dont buy them, Im too impatient to wait and see something grow, I like buying the whole thing.

But very pretty frags, and I think you did get the better end of the stick

 

Well i know how much frags cost at my lfs i can only imagine how much a "whole rock"
Covered in them could only cost.
I dont have that kind of money to sink into my habbit.

 

Believe me I understand. It takes me awhile to save up for a coral sometimes. Sometimes Ill go into my LFS and make a little payment plan. He usually doesnt mind and understands that Im in college. So if I dont have the money right away Ill put down a deposit and drop money off until its paid off. Its kinda cool too, because they write my name on the tank too. Ive been in there and watched somebody get really upset when he couldnt buy a certain coral because my name was on it.

Im just not much of a fan of frags.
Every now and then Ill buy them for the nano just because sometimes a whole coral wont fit in there.

what size tank are you running

 

These are in a 29gallon
I plan on converting my 55gallon to salt once i move in may

 

Your Frags look very good..
I'm also a big fan of Frags....

I know I have around 500.00 in Frags in my tank.. Some will be used in other tanks, trading/giving to friends, etc..
Watching them grow, learning about them, etc. Is 1/2 the fun..


I have a Bro. that pays cash for everything he buys... He doesn't have much..

Me.. I owe everyone in town, But man.. I have the toys !!

I havent had too much bad luck lately, just with my elegance and hair algae, that been an ongoing battle since day one.

It will get there eventually, I hope. Everything else is going great so far. New fish doing great and all other corals look good.
What threads did you read, some of them are a bit old.
