This is my first salt water tank and I love it. Its a 36 gallon bow front with T-5 lighting. I have bigger tanks I want to start after Christmas. My 55 gallon is already being set up.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Excellent start.

You will for sure need a bigger tank soon.

Just a tip, Condy anemones are fish eaters with a powerful sting that prevents most clowns from residing in them.

I promised pics. Lol. So far the condy has been ok, I've had him with my fish for about 1 month and all is good. It picked a rock and hasn't moved an inch. I'll keep an eye out though, thanks for the tip. The puffers get a new home tomorrow and I'm picking up my Koran angel. I can't wait.

Just to clarify, you are going to put a Koran angel in a 36 gallon tank with a coral beauty, a blue tang, firefish, 2 clowns and a sleeper goby? Holy Bio-Load batman! I feel like I have too many in my 120 and I only have 3. Just a heads up. Your rock and sand will only absorb so many phosphates before you start paying the price for such a heavy load. It looks good now but when the rock and sand decide to start leaching....look out. Hair algae out the yingyang

Looks good and welcome to the hobby! I think you did say you had a 55 set up, are you planning on moving some of the fish over to that or doing something different? I loved the holy bio-load batman.....I love to watch a really active tank with lots of inhabitants...

Im not gonna put all the fish in my 36. I'm putting a Koran in my 55 and leaving my coral beauty in the 36. I was just saying I can't wait to get all the fish I want. I love this hobby.

Slow and steady!!!! Even if a tank can support a bioload like that it takes a long time for the sandbed and liverock to build up the bacterial colonies. You should add 1 or 2 fish at a time.

I feel like I am overstock with my 46gal with 2 clowns, a flame angel, a melarus wrasse, and a juvie blue hippo tang!!

Also a Koran angel egts pretty large, even for a 55gal. May want to rethink that guy. Make sure you research everything you want first or it will end in disappointment. The sleeper goby you have in there may slowly starve as they feed off of critters in a live sandbed and can wipe out the population of an established sandbed in a matter of weeks in a larger tank nevermind a smaller tank with an unestablished sandbed.

+1, I think I counted at least 6 fish in the second picture!
    A blue tang in a 36, or 55?
Uh, oh, I can hear the TP sirens from here !

But seriously, nice start, enough with the fish already- nutrient export/bioload/etc.

I've been in this hobby for almost two years now and it's so amazing and so much fun. There's so much cool stuff you can get. I have a long spined sea urchin, a brittle star and so much more. You'll be wanting more eventually, my first tank was a 8 then a 45 and now a 90 gallon. You'll enjoy it!!!
