This is my 55 gallon FO with 20 pds of LR, 40 pds of Live Sand, and a Marineland Emperor 280. Current stock is 4 Green Chromis an a Pink Skunk Clown. The tank is in the middle of cycling. Soon to get a Koralia 2.

I am still trying to get used to taking picture of my tank;D

good looking tank pan. but im thinkin your going about cycling kinda quick with adding those type fish so early. also i think you should have another 30 lbs at least of lr. which you can still add once done cycling in small increments. the extra rock will help with filtration. are you running a skimmer? and all these are my personal opinions , not being critical . good luck with it all, and keep it going

You are going to need alot more filtration than that 280. You should be using a HOB rated 3 times as high for saltwater. You will be ok for now, due to low bioload. But you will need to upgrade in the near future. I would personally get an overflow box and a sump. Good start. We will help you along!!

I would have to agree with both Divott and Robman in that you have too many fish too soon and filtration needs an upgrade.
I had an HOB filter and hated it. GHA and cyano blooms out the yin-yang. I've got a sump and skimmer going on my 55 and its doing beautifully.
Key word of advice (and Im sure everyone will agree) TAKE IT SLOW!!! If you remember to have a lot of Patience you will benefit greatly. Take the time to research a little more each day and when you think you got it all down, read some more. Ask lots of questions, just remember there are no stupid or insignificant questions. The more you ask the more you learn, the more you learn the better your tank will look and do.
