I'm planning on putting in a 20 gal wet/dry sump fuge later when I get an overflow.

I would agree with the others. When you get your overflow and sump running get some chaeto to throw in the fuge and that will help with any algae. Go slow with your fish especially since it is just cycling now. You probably could have just gone with one or two, but just keep an eye on them. Like the others said, go slow and it will pay off in the long run.

If you haven't already bought the K2, get a K3, much better flow for a 55 gallon.

Do not worry I am going slow, the chromis are to cycle, they will go later. I am waiting as long as possible and am not planning anything till wednesday or thursday at the earliest. I will stock veeeeeery slowly, don't worry, your advice and points are well taken. If you could spend 50.00 on my tank would you buy:
    10 pds of LR
    A skimmer
    An overflow for a sump
