Thanks everyone, when the rock comes in, I shall add more pics!

probably the angle, it's just high enough for the water to seep into the sump. Thanks for the concern, I really appreciate it!!

Thats pretty much how I feel right now, LOL

    Finally an update...

Rocks came late - like 3 days late... ;( and I didn't have time to do much of anything until tonight... Just finished everything just now.

I added my water, rocks, and salt last night and let everything sit. Then today I kinda messed around with the layout of the tank. These are some pics I took just now. The water is really cloudy(hopefully it's because I've been moving the rock around, it wasn't like that last night) so sorry for fuzzy lookin pics, haha.

Right out of the box. These are from marcorocks.com btw. It was really safe and secure, I'm impressed with the shipping. Of course, from Florida to California, I expected a little breakage of the rock, and they really didn't have ALOT of rubble in the box, which was really cool.

A bit more of how it was packed.

    Example of the rock.

The big rock that was packed.

    Another good size one.

    2/3 boxes in the tank.

    Closer pic of the rocks.

    Last bit of rock.

Out of all 3 boxes, this is all the rubble and broken pieces of the rock combined into one box.

I do have a question!! Can these little pieces actually be used in the sump and will they hold bacteria?? Is it worth it to keep these little pieces?!?

What about these?? They're slightly bigger...

    Now water filled tank pics...

This is me playing around with rock, I have no idea if I'm going to keep the look like this.

    Thats about it.

Hopefully when I get off work tomorrow(today it's 1am, whatever) I'll go to the LFS and get a few pieces of real "live rock" to put in my tank to start cycling it. If my temp and salinity seems to be fine still, and my water clears up, I think I'll add a simple clownfish to help jump start the nitrogen cycle as well ;)

Anyways, more updates soon! Thanks for looking!! ;)

no, its mined from an old seabed about 30 miles from the coast in florida.

yes, find someplace in the sump for the rubble :)

Quick update. I added a little damsel in my tank. He seems to be doing good ;)

Also, I now have a little bit of live sand in there to jump start my cycle as well.

Now I just have to wait it out - everything looks good thus far! ;o I'm excited
