It looks like you are ready to add a fish now lol. Your nitrates don't have to be zero, mine never are lol.

So it's been a little over a month since I started my tank and I am so far pretty happy with it. There are a few things I would have done differently if I were to start over but not much. I add the first 2 fish to the tank on Saturday. They are 2 O. Clowns. They seem to be doing well, they are eating frozen shrimp but not pellets at the moment. I would like to get them into the pellets and other food so I can mix it up a bit for them, but I'll figure that out as I go. I was a little concerned because I have had a bad track record with keeping fish, but all the levels seem to be good. As of today.

    Salinity - 1.026 (refractometer)
    Ph - 8.3/8.4
    Ammonia - 0
    Nitrite - 0
    Nitrate - 5/10

This are the only levels I am taking at the moment, since I don't have corals or anything but a shrimp, crab and 2 clowns. My girls are loving the new fish too!

That is awesome. I'm sure your fish will do just fine. I have found that smaller clowns don't eat pellets to easily. How big are your clowns? You could lower your salinity a little if you want to since you don't have corals. That is up to you. It is always exciting to add new critters to the tank lol. ;D
