Hey guys. I started up my first tank about a month ago. First of all I would like to thank the 3reef forum and especially Corailline. I have learned a lot and its a beautiful thing to have. Here's my tank.

    75 gallon
    13 gallon sump
Aquaticlife 48inch T5HO fixture with moon lights
    aquac ev-120 skimmer
    CPR overflow box
    80lbs of live rock

So far I have 2 clown fish, a royal gramma, and a fire shrimp and a ton of snails and few hermits. I dont like the fact that my fire shrimp hides the whole time, so I am thinking about getting 2 skunk shrimp. I also have a zoa coral? acan? and another one...lol i am already forgetting the names of the corals and I only have 3.

Here are a few pics of my tank. I will update this thread whenever I get new livestock. Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Hey thanks for the kind words, 3reef is a great resource. :)

Fire shrimp can be pretty shy, they like to hang out in a cave at the entrance. Once they get older they get a little bolder. Mine finally got to the point where he would greet me when I got home from work. As with most shrimp they are pigs and will eventually come out when food is introduced to the tank at routine times.

Very nice looking acans and zoanthids. The other coral looks like a Pavona, a hardy LPS that packs a potent sting to near by corals.

Hello, nedim; welcome to 3reef. Your tank looks pretty good. You have a nice size colony of zoanthids there. I always forgot the names easily when I first began researching coral. But I have been researching for about a year now. just hang out in coral board and you will remember the names just by seeing them often enough. :p That's what I did. I think I know my stuff for the most part; I don't have lights yet though. lol.

+1 about the shy shrimp. I do think that cleaner shrimp are some of the more active shrimp compared to others (less shy at first). I just got two of these today. I've had them before and really like them.

What do you have for bulbs in he fixture? Are those the stock bulbs?

    Is that an Aqueon sump?

Oh. yeah and can we get some fish pictures? :)

Thanks for the kind words guys.
My live rock is re-arranged a little differently now (that was an old pic). Will have to get a full tank picture tomorrow.

Oh and I got that zoa at my LFS and there are 2 bristle worms living inside it, they pop out a little at night time.

The sump is a berlin sump that i got at marine depot.

I want to get some more coral and fish but its hard to decide lol.

Edit: yes they are the stock lamps that came with the fixture, are they not recommended?

Lol, I feel your pain about deciding what to get and not to get. I would love to have a yellow tang, but I know my tank is to small. I also have a couple of bristle worms living in my live rock, nothing to really worry about.

Most people change out the stock bulbs after about 3 months. Usually i see people going with ATI bulbs.

Update: Here is some more pictures I snapped today (sorry for the bad quality) I got some new favias, frogspawn, torch, and others. Everything seems to be going pretty good. I got a blue hippo tang a few weeks ago, he's very small (maybe 2 inches) and a flame angel about 3 days ago. I also got the dual BRS reactor a couple days ago. The only thing that bothers me is that there is some cyano on my sand.

    Here is some pics!
