when it comes to reefing its whats best for the fish, not whats best for ones articular taste. you could say oh this 75 gallon tank would look just great with an emperor angel in it. buts thats just not right. it will be fine for a while but eventually you might want at least a 75 gallon tank. not all tangs are very large. but they swim a ton because they are used to being in open water.

its not a matter of people getting over themselves its them researching what they are buying and not buying on impulse. there is not one tang thats reccomended tank size is less than 75 gallons.

im not saying the starter of this thread was buying on impulse or something. in fact most people putting tangs in small tanks its a 30 or 40 gallon tank.

He's pretty small right now but I will keep an eye on him when he gets bigger. I specifically went with a Kole because of the size of the tank, but I realize a longer tank might be necessary eventually. I call him Pig Pen because he constantly makes a mess of the tank.

i did not mean all that towards you. your in no wrong with your tang people keep koles in 30 gallons all the time your probably gonna be fine it might get a little cramped though. it just irks me when people try to defend the people that do keep tangs in such small confined spaces.

I like it a lot. It has limitations, but I wasn't ready to build something from the ground up. I've learned a lot from this set up and I will eventually put together a custom set up. I just thought it would be a great way for me to learn about this hobby without having leaks and/or dead tank inhabitants because I didn't know what I was doing.
