OK so I got my lights and my skimmer in, Woohoo!21

I got a 260w PC fixture with 2x65w daylights and 2x65 Actinic's from Odyseaa I know alot of people say they are crap but, I am very impressed with what I got for the money.

    PICTURES!@!@!

The skimmer is also a Odyseaa PS75

The skimmer I am having a hard time getting it to work correctly. I know I have it setup right but I can not seem to figure out where I am spose to have the peak of the bubbles hitting. I set it up for about half way up the cup and I come back and either it is full of water or it has gone down to the base of the cup.

If anyone has insight on why this is happening or simply where I should have the peak of the bubbles hitting it would be awsome!

Now after I set everything up here are more pics.

The saying the lights are on but no one is home comes to mind :p

Anyway my rock will be here tomorrow, I plan on finishing up then and showing how I setup my rock etc...

That skimmer you have is a potential flood. I recommend adding a drain to the cup that runs into a reservoir.
    For adjusting.
It'll make it easier to adjust it when there is something to skim. Give it a few days after you add the live rock and start cycling.
Start the peak "lower" and work your way up. Watch it for 15 mins. and move higher.
    Congrats on the new toys.....

Are they really that bad? It seems to be a decent design but I am having problems with water flux going up and down up and down. Kinda pissing me off.

Good luck with that skimmer. I made the mistake of buying the Odyssea PS160 a couple of yrs ago and let me tell you..........what a piece of chit it is. Never was able to fine tune it, always filled up the cup with water, never saw any skimate, no instructions or tech. support. Luna

So today I got my base rock which imo was prime(Came From Marco Rocks). I bought 50 pounds of dry sand and 20 pounds of live sand. I set it up and this is what came out. I like the caves and little hiding places I made was kinda bummed I didnt get in really good shelf pieces but all in all I am very happy.

Looks good! Like said before wait till theres something to skim before you try to dial it in or even turn it on.
