    Ok so the next morning....

Looks good imo, Ammonia has done nothing and nitrate is a 0ppm. I am wondering how long this is going to take before I see any spikes. I got two rocks from a LFS that had been in his tank for about a year. That is what I am using to seed it with. Also I got a Emerald crab onboard he did not seeon the rocks. At least I think it is a Emerald crab seems to match the pictrure.

Should I go get a Chromis to start it faster or just leave it be? I also put 20lbs of live sand in it as well.

    TIA

Well ammonia is at 1.0ppm after 24 hours. It was at 0ppm before the sand and rock were put into the tank. I hope to see Nitrites soon !@!@

tbh this is my first SWT anyone ever watch the hole cycle a bunch? What am I going to see at a peak spike?

    5.0ppm?

    Yes Turbo Snails!@!@!

My water testing has gone as follows

    12/6
    0.0ppm Nitrate
    0.0ppm Nitrite
    0.25Ammonia
    8.2 PH

    12/7
    0.0ppm Nitrate
    0.0ppm Nitrite
    0.50m Ammonia

    12/8
    0.0ppm Nitrate
    0.25m Nitrite
    0.75 Ammonia

    12/9
    0.0ppm Nitrate
    1.0 Nitrite
    1.0 Ammonia

So far so good looks like I am starting to cycle really well. My PH droped a bunch in just these couple of days to 7.9 I was told to leae it alone tell it is done cycling. I hope to see the Ammonia drop lower in the next two days followed by Nitrate going up. I hope it happens sooner than later :) I plan to put a Tang and a Clown in by Christmas

    Woot Tank is cycled,

Woke up this morning to do my daily test and everything reads 0 except for Nitrates which are at 20ppm. I think I am going to let it run tell the weekend and then go get a fish.

Any opinions on my first fish? I was thinking a Y. Tang but my LFS owner told me that they are very aggressive if they are the only fish in the tank.

I also want to get clowns

I wouldnt put a Y Tang in there first, leave it for last. All depends on the list of fish you are planning to get. The clown would be a great choice. Luna

What are the easist clowns to get to host Luna?

I know I cant get the invert yet but might as well get a clown that are known to host.

I really like the look of the Black/white clowns and the Maroon Clowns.
