Tap water in most places is really bad, too bad for saltwater tanks.

Definitely look into changing your water to ro/di or distilled.

Many in my area use distilled as its easier to get than ro/di

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
See where your test values are on Sat.

    I do 2 gallons weekly to bi-monthly on a 20 gallon.

If your tank is still cycling you won't want to do water changes as it will delay the cycling period. Just monitor parameters until test read where it should be. I would change water after that. At least 25%

Tap water probably is not the best idea as most people experience algae outbreaks. If an ro/di is out of the budget I would consider getting store bought ro water like coralinne stated. And for top off water I would keep a zerowater filter. Kinda like a brita water thing but it claims to provide zero TDS. But ideally an ro/di unit would be the best.

During your cycling you don't need to do water changes. You only need to top up evaporation water. Test your water and monitor. Don't run your lights either.

Once you have completed the cycle, then weekly water changes of 10-15% are recommended.

Get that ai prime. It's cheaper than most LEDs and packs a punch. This what mine makes my corals look like;)
