Run phosphate. They are almost always present in new setups. And it will cut down on the algae.

Where you put it doesn't really matter but I don't recommend it in the refugium area. That's where you want copepods to start growing. Going through a reactor will kill them.

    Great scape.

I am not a fan of turning of power heads at night. Available o2 drops at night, decreasing gas exchange just never seemed like a good idea to me.

I believe the cool critter on the glass is a hydroid jelly.

    Nice tank and rockscape. :)

    +1

I used to have one powerhead plugged into my light timer for that "calm night" effect. What I experienced was ammonia spikes as detritus would get swept into extreme low-flow areas where it would lay all night with little to no circulation... then the powerhead kicked on in the morning, stirring it all up again. Our enclosed systems don't have the luxury of thousands of acres of surface area for gas exchange or millions of gallons of water to dilute nutrients and toxins like the ocean reef.

I think that is happening to me, my amonia went up a bit, cuz I turn off one of the power heads for two nights.
Sorry if I'm being to paranoid but after cleaning my thank my anemone did this
[IMG] what should I do or it is normal.

Yes that is normal for BTA to appear deflated routinely. Unless the oral opening is wide and gabbing, the anemone is moving around a lot or you can see mesenterial filaments, your bta is probably just doing some fluid exchange.
