My false perc always nips me but no blood yet! My Foxface has gotten a little too acustomed to me though, he has been making me really nervous lately, hanging out a couple inches from my hand. I'm gonna have to buy some gloves soon!

He hits hard, don't think he has any teeth to speak of, he justs hits really hard, put a gash in my first knuckle a little less than a 1/4 long. My wife laughs at me everytime he does it and I sit there and cuss at the little Mother!

What kind of gloves can you use in a tank? I can't tell you how much water I mopped up off the floor after jerking my hand out of there! I'm not going back in without gloves. Between my PITA fish and my dern anemone that stings me I need protection. My peppermint shrimp will come walk on my hand which is fun though.

Got me a pair of those but found that they were to bulky to do anything with them while wearing them. Have better luck with a pair of dish washing gloves with a rubber band around the tops, not to keep me dry, just to keep them from falling off.

I had an employee named Nick who I nicknamed "Bite Boy"

On his first week there, he got bit by a VERY AGGRESSIVE clown trigger. I'm mean this thing would try to bite you through the glass he was so mean. Customers would tease him by running their fingers all over the glass. Nick was really cleaning the tank right next door and let his fingers dangle in there. There was blood everywhere and all I did was laugh at him.

A couple weeks went by and I heard him scream. I told him to go feed the 850G shark tank but that I wanted him to use a feeding prong because we now had a Wobbygong Shark in there too. Well, he followed my instructions. He was using a feeding prong and target feeding a Port Jackson Shark. However, the dork had all of the rest of his thawed food in his left had and what did he do???? He dangled his left hand in the water and a Smoothhound shark came for the food and bit him. LOL

I've never been bit by a shark. I had a horn shark spike me on accident once.

However, you don't know what being bit is until you've been bit by a foot long Golden Headed Puffer. It's owner didn't know you have to provide shrimp for them to grind their beak (teeth) down on. By the time they brought it into the shop for me to put it to sleep to work on it's teeth, they were at least an inch long. Frankly, the only reason that stupid thing didn't take my finger clean off was because I yelled and scared it. Then it scared me, it didn't want to wake back up and this was a customers fish. Finally it did though.
