My maroon will headbutt my hand, but only if I get near her anemone otherwise she leaves me alone. My blue devil always divebombs me and nips at me. My puffer did bite me once on my thumb when I was feeding him. I wasn't paying attention when I had my hand in the water. He went for the krill and got the corner of my thumb. He didn't break skin, but that's because he got the nail. He left a nice gouge in the nail and left a nice moon on the other side of my thumb, it was close to breaking skin, and probably wou;d have tore a chunk off if he was any bigger.

My foxface hits my fingers very hard when I feed them, he tears food out of my fingers yet has never bitten me. I did get brushed by his dorsal fins the other day and that was scary!

the clowns in my 58 and 24 gallon both attack anyone that puts their hands in the tank, the true percs in the 58 are horrible if you walk up the tank they come up to the surface and wait, the moment your hands hit the water their biting and ramming you

I had a client with a dogface puffer that was about a foot long that sent a dude to the hospital, guy was feeding them shrimp and put his hand about mid-forarm deep in the tank cause he thought it was cool the grouper would eat from your hand, then the dogface grabbed him a few inches up from the wrist, gave him a few stiches

Puffers are very strong chompers. Dogfaces are even worse since they have beak-like teeth. Porcupines (which is what I had) have a flat tooth, still hurts like a mo-fo though. I did get poked once by my porcupine's spine that drew blood. Better him than my lion or ray though.

Our clowns will stare at my hand roughly 3 inches from it when it's feeding time. The little one "pecks" at my hand, which is just funny. They don't have an anemone and they have the tank to themselves. They know who feeds them, so they are just fat pigs that want food. Fatties.

My friend has a Molly Miller Blenny that comes right up to your hand and starts biting away. I thought it was cute and fun having it nip at my finger harmlessly...until my friend said if it gets me under the fingernail it's going to hurt like heck. So I stopped letting it bite me.

The stupid blenny is one of those fish that is too cute to get mad at, but still wreaks havoc. Before the overflow box got lined with sponge material, the thing would hop into the overflow box and sit there nipping at the algae. Then, when a crocea clam was put in, it enjoyed sitting on it's mantle. Which made us think that it was going to get his head plopped off every time that clam slammed shut.

"That stupid blenny is going to get it's head cut off if he keeps messing with my clam."
"Ew, then you'll have to get it out."
"Naw dude, let the brittle star take care of it"
    :D
