    Hi reefers,

So even after almost 3 months, it still scare the crap out of me sometimes when I see my clown lying in the sand sometimes on its side, sometimes on its belly, I cant believe fish sleep this way.
Sometimes my fish seems more like a dog, he eats food like if it was the last day of its life, he follows me when I move, and when I grab the pellet food I could swear if he had a long tail he will just move it of excitement.

It will actually be nice if someone had done some research that can share with us about the level of intelligence in these creatures, I resist to believe they only act because of its instinct

I had a similar thing last night with my new cleaner wrasse. I couldnt find him for ages and saw his tail poking out of a rock. Thought geeze, not a long lasting fish. Five minutes later he was out and about.

nah, thats nothing. my dragon wrasse will stick its head under a rock so you cant see if its breathing and lay its body flat on the ground when it takes a nap. does it both during the day and night when it feels like it. This will truely give you a stroke. Its the green thing on the bottom under the six line.

I once had a dusky wrasse that laid on it's side on the sand at night; freaked me out too for quite a while. I was always afraid a crab might think he was dead, as well.

Actually, that study has been done. Someone posted some of the results just last week; fish definitely have the ability to learn, and also to remember for several months.

My CW does the same exact thing- sleeps in a hole in a rock with just his tail hanging out. lol
