Love them too, and want one, but not in my 29 gallon. Waiting for a bigger tank someday. I refuse to buy a fish that will outgrow my tank.

Yes, I agree that they are very pretty. I love mine too, although she seems kinda afraid of me. But here is mine. Sorry she moved so fast I barely can catch her. [IMG]

Was told that my emporer angel would be very aggressive towards one ? How true is this ? I wouldn't like to say, but I would love one, the color and personality sounds awesome.

I am a huge fan as well, but have had terrible luck with them so far :( Best advise I can give is if you are getting it from your LFS, make sure it is eating prepared foods before buying. In fact, if they allow it, do this, then just put a deposit on it and leave it there for as long as they let you (one of my LFS will do 2 weeks). Check in on it every couple days to make sure it is still eating. I am also finding some LFS have them in tanks with low doses of copper. Dwarf Angels are sensitive to copper, however supposedly it is at a low enough level to be safe. However, it is not a high enough level to be effective to kill Ich, so I am not sure what the purpose is.

Would love to hear someone more knowledgeable on this (having the tanks with lower levels of copper).

This is like the Twilight Zone.

I can't even remember starting this thread, 6 days ago?

I can hear the twilight zone theme song now!

Well you started a few random threads that night...maybe overtired, over served, or some combination of the two ;)

yes, the multi-colored is awesome. You don't see them often at the LFS that I go to. I had one but unfortunatly lost it when our electric went out and the tank water temp. got low and stayed there overnight :(

I have my flame in a mixed reef. Would recommend it over a lemonpeel if you want corals. Lemonpeels are known to be one of the worse dwarf angels when it comes to corals even though ALL angels pose some risk. My flame likes to pick on things every know and then but nothing major. Leaves all my lps, softies, and leather alone. As for sps my stylophora has large enough polyps it must be confused because I never see it pick on it, but it loves to take a little drive by at all 5 of my montipora colonies to take a little pick and move on. It does no damage as they are all growing great and have good polyp extension. It it my understanding that they are not eating the polyps themselves but some of the mucous the coral produces and sheds.

As for well it get along with an emperor angel that really depends on tank size and the temperament of the emperor. Assuming you have a fairly large tank suitable for the emperor than housing a dwarf angel with a large angel is pretty common. The dwarf will be able to get into small crevices that the large angel just wont fit and their colors and size are so different they should leave each other alone anyway. The only dwarf I wouldnt suggest trying with a large angel would be a Potters as they are known to stop eating and die with any sort of stress.
