here are some pics of my fluval edge. i was debating on which direction to go with it. in the end i decided to go fresh with this one. i havent done a fresh setup in years. all real plants and driftwood. some neons and a pair of dwarf swords and 8 or so of their offspring.

hey i have one! yours looks very pretty planted, makes me wanna do the same, what kinda soil did you use? Are you planning on changing the lighting? mr11 leds?? just curious been reading up on what ppl are doing with it its a very neat tank, personally woulda liked to make mine a zoa garden BUT lighting is an issue as it doesn't reach the far tank corners even with high out put led's and getting a fixture would defeat the purpose of its formfactor altho i have seen it done on a few forums. ANYWAY lol wow long winded post, yours is VERY pretty, putting any inverts in there?just curious

thanks. i just used regular painted gravel. a pretty common size, if not the most. if i went salt perhaps i would change the lights. if the current lighting could have supported zoas i would have done salt for sure. with the stock lights however you get a spotlight effect which i hated and which made the sides of the tank very dark. with the addition of plants it has brightned up the tank considerably. i like the vampire shrimp, maybe one of those. added some anubia nana today.

awesome!!! well mine's salty playing around with led bulbs and diy fixture ideas. I've seen some ridiculously amazing pico reeefs made with this thing BUT i'm really not looking for something labor intensive lol pfft rather just go brackish if it comes to that lol but if i can rewire the lighting arm to hold some nice cree led bulbs i might just go alll out. For the time being, i'm just looking forward to a sexy shrimp or two and some sort of nano fish. I'll keep tabs on your build its really tempting me to make my life easier and just go fresh lol sooo pretty!!!
