well.. my foxface seems to be sick?.. he just hides most of the day. he does comes out alot but he swims for some minutes and then goes back to hide for a while. then does the same.

i havent seen him completely yellow for a while. he is like partially brown. and sometimes i find him resting and not moving like if he was dead in some random place. i get close to watch and he darts away.

then in eating time, he comes out to eat. kinda slow eater but he looks eager to eat. ( in those minutes he comes out during the day he seems to be eating of the sand and picking at rocks.. possible residues from previous feedings.)

is this normal behavior? or whats up with him?

    my params are ok.
    ammonia 0
    nitrate nitrite 0
    ph 8.4
    salinity 1.024
    temps 80 degrees

i dont have one of those but to me it seems normal for a new fish give it some time to adjust , i just read up on it and it says that They have the ability to change into a mottled dark brown color when stressed . wow didnt know they were poisonous >,< . Fox face Rabbit fish is generally timid and will usually retreat behind some rocks when approached or you stick your amr in the aquarium.

ya i would say hes just a little stressed from being in a new environment and also if im not mistaken you added 7-9 chromis all at ounce and that could have been a little overwhelming to him all in all id say its fine jsut give him time

Give him time to adjust, Rex my Magnificent Foxface took about 2-3 weeks to stop doing that, Even occasionally he will turn his camo color for no reason I see why. When I had a one spot foxface, it took him about a week till he stayed his constant color...
