So around nine months ago I noticed that my fungia reproduced in captivity, super cool! Has anyone else had this happen? I've had the momma for probably five years, and on multiple occasions I noted her volcanoing out what looked like reproductive matter. Well, it finally stuck. I have two new ones attached to my rockwork on the opposite side of the tank, they have been growing for the past six months. First is Big Momma, second offspring ;D

Thanks Salty, I love em too. They grow so fast under 400W MH, and it doesn't hurt that I feed them fresh squid!

What did the "reproductive" matter look like? Twice now I've seen a slimey greenish cloud spew out of mine. I assumed it was feces and the remains of dinner, but maybe not...

Very cool "additions" to the family BTW. :)

What you are referring to sounds like expelled waste, I to have witnessed the same with mine. What I saw looked more like a white cloud and when directly after this happened the whole coral shrunk instead of being expanded. The whole body looked stiff, and then a few hours later it would return to normal. I wish I had video of this, it seriously looked like a volcano going off. Best of luck to yours.
