my g. glabrous- Gabby

ive had her two weeks. heres some pics of gabby, shes my favorite, she the most active of all my mantis shrimp, she loves to decorate her rock with that red algae you see in the pic, to all you mantis lovers try some of that algae she does all kinds of stuff with it, and she just recently started coming up to the glass and just stares at me, she has a hole in the top at her rock, and sometimes out the corner of my eye i see just her eyes poking out the top watching me, ive even seen her laying on her back lifting up like shes doing push ups! so thats just a little info on gabby, oh yea she loves to beat the life out of snails and hermits, she even got me the first day that i got her, i was rearanging and that she was in the rock but really she was hiding in the algae ans bam!!! she got me right on the tip of my finger. OUCH!!!

 

what kind of algae is it? I'll get some for Fister.

Gabby sounds like an awesome pet you got there. She is a real cutie and that is a wicked den she has. It looks like in the picture the entrance is almost straight up and down? Mantis dens are fascinating to me. I am trying to figure out how my guy's den works. It has like 6-7 entrances he goes in and out of.

 

Hey it might be called red callarpa but I'm not sure, got it at my lfs. And yea the rock goes up and down, she has made the cavern In there alot bigger, she chips away in there everyday making it bigger
