Everyone I know who has had a bike has crashed. It's just not worth the risk in my opinion, I prefer not to be maimed or killed. But, to each their own. Hope she recovers.

Yea, my buddy just took the front bumper off a Honda with his foot a little over a year ago. It will likely cause him issues the rest of his life. Not his fault, either. He was hit in an intersection.

You're right about the invincible thing. In my teen years I think I spent more time in hospitals from dirtbike/four wheeler/three wheeler crashes than I spent in school. I've got some bad crash stories... If it had a throttle I was on it, and I was wide open. There was no bike fast enough or a jump big enough for me. It was hell on my parents. And I lost more friends in streetbike wrecks than you could count on both hands. I finally gave it all up a few years back. I'm still young but I've got two little girls to raise. You won't see my butt on a bike anymore.

Right now i have nothing in my life to support other then fish and a dog both of witch my parents could take care of. My opinion will change when i have kids to look after but as of now is the time when you can screw around with just risking your self.

well she actually didn't get hurt that bad, for what it could have been. You are actually more likely to get hurt riding horses then bikes. I would just say ride safe, and keep the bikes.

It's probably best shes at the hospital until shes off the morphine, pain killers are very dangerous and addictive.
