I'm all for keeping bikes. I would.

Plenty of folks gave me crap about keeping my bike after my girl was born... They can shove it up their and mind their own as far as I'm concerned.

On top of that, we're talking a track. I assume safety gear is a must. This wasn't being irresponsible on the highway (which is what a high speed wobble is, irresponsible; making the comparison apple and oranges in my book). responsible riding is fine.

    True stat!

Also true stat, mile for mile, you are more likely to be in an automobile accident than a bike accident. (mile for mile means the fact that there are more cars on the road to get in a wreck is factored out).

I agree you are more likely to be seriously hurt in a bike accident than a car, but you're less likely to get in an accident in the first place on a bike. And no accident is much safer than a minor one.

Having said that, I always highly recommend defensive bike training at a licensed school and always wearing proper gear. It will save your life.

As far as that goes, I think it's silly that defensive car driving training isn't required. Far too easy to get your license in the US of A if you ask me.
