    Nope...it's not an aiptasia

It's a non-photosynthetic dendrophyllia. I just don't have any of my books right now so I can't ID it.

No, the corals, like the title says ... ;)

Inwall has got it right, I'm pretty sure. I just can't find that little bugger anywhere online, except for pictures OTHER people have posted trying to ID it. :-/

Whatever it is, it's very cool in a nano, where you can see it up close. Very hardy. It hitchhiked in, and survived the cycling process, and a learning curve where every possible mistake was made.

It's a big eater, too. She feeds them suprisingly large chunks of shrimp and silverside from her fingertips.

I highly suspect it's of the Paracyathus Genus. I don't know the species. I still don't have my books. You can PM Schackmel. She has the books I need to positively ID it and can look up Paracyathus and tell you if I'm correct or off my rocker.

A lot of the cup corals from the dendrophylliidae family are quite challenging to ID properly. Actually, often you need a microscope. But your ID is as good as mine. And yes, they are pigs. They are non-photosynthetic so they do need to be fed.

Google search on cup coral. It looks like the same type that i found on some rock in my tank.

do they have a hard base (like a coral polyp?) or do they move around. If it is like a coral i would guess some variety of sun coral. If not i would same something related to orange ball anemone, i have those in my tank they like the shade and have orange tips to the tenacles, yours look just like it without the orange tips
