the FS was M/H i have M/H 150 watt and a 100 wat Power compact. he sits ontop of the reef about 12-14 inches away from the light i have my circulating pump hitting him could that be an issue?

It needs to be in the lowest flow area possible

now speaking about the circulation i just moved the little pump that circulates water... i was wondering how much circulation do i need right now i have a little pump that isnt very powerful... is circulation in a tank a key factor?

Most Hammers and Frogsporn will not open under high water flow. I took my powerheads out and now they are stress free.

Yes it is. you want about 40-50x turn over. there's a large *good* range.

You just don't want your LPS corals to get blasted. You want various sources of flow crashing into each other to break it up and make it more random.
