    Hey all, I haven't posted much so figured I would post todays results and build up some Post Numbers, It is a lengthy post. I have just won a Green Algae battle recently. Tank has been up since the beginning of December 2009.

    55 Gallon Tank:

    60lbs LR
    45lbs Live Sand

    Current Sundial 24hr Lighting System:

    4 T-5 Bulbs 216w + Lunar LEDs
    14.5Hrs Blue Actinic Lights "ON" Daily (2 Hrs "ON" for Dawn & 2 for Dusk)
    10.5Hrs 10K's "ON" Daily
    Lunars on from 8:30pm till 6:30am

    Tankmates:

    Clarkii Clownfish
    Lawnmower Blenny
    Bi-Color Pseudochromis
    Scopas Tang

    Inverts/Corals:

    Rose Bubble Tip Anemone
    Green Bubble Tip Anemone
    Pink Bubble Coral
    Turbo Snails x15
    Other Snails
    Blue & Red Legged Hermit Crabs

    Water Movement:

    Koralia Stg 3 on 24/7 (Left Side blowing Right)
    Koralia Stg 1 on 15 minute intervals ON/OFF during Day, Then 15 minutes ON every hour at Night. Close to Wavemaker Simulation (Right Side blowing Left)
    Sump return in Back corners of tank.

    Sump: Chaeto & Small Pieces of LR

    Eshopps PF-300 (too small)
    1" PVC to 10G sump
    Heater @ 75F
    9w UV Sterilizer
    Red Sea Berlin x2 Skimmer
    Mag7 Return Pump with Recirc for Discharge & Sump Level Control

    (1" Header w/ Ball Valve after Recirc. Recirc Line 3/4" With Ball Valve which returns to first sump chamber, Sump Return T's off from 1" inlet to 2-3/4" outlets back to the Tank)

    Parameters:

    Temp 77F (In Sump)
    SG: 1.024-1.025
    PH: 8.2
    Ammonia: 0ppm
    Nitrites: 0ppm
    Nitrates: 0ppm (A first for me, usually around 40-80ppm)
    Phosphate: 0ppm
    Calcium: 580 (Yikes!!!)
    dKh: 7 (additive used to increase dKh after testing)

    So there ya go!

    What about magnesium? I believe increasing Mag will bring down your calcium.

    I haven't found a magnesium test kit yet. Its on my "to order" list.
