Sounds like things are moving right along! Good job on the patch - they work well too! It's not really cheating, you're not inhaling all that nastiness anymore :) I'll defer to nano keepers on the amount of rock.

Sounds like a good plan on the chiller!

I guess the Chiller doesn't work, when I mentioned the guarantee he said yes, but would check the chiller to make sure it worked, I told him if it was good I would buy it this weekend, I haven't from him again, hahaha!!

Yea! The patch has been a pretty good substitute to this point.

One of the 2 tanks have to go and I am having a hard time deciding on keeoing the nano tank which is ready to set up and get started or going with the 72 bow front, which still would need lights and perhaps a skimmer, also better water movers. I know it will be much cheaper also to stock the nano, but I am a believer in bigger is better :/

oh my, what to do, what to do........why not get the nano set up and stocked and then save up money to get the things you need for the 72? Then, when things need a bigger home, you've got it!

I know it's may seem silly this minor decision, I am trying to account for the future and how much effort is needed, not getting any younger ;)
right now the nano seems not as appealing, but much cheaper and less effort in the long run. things that make us go hhhmmmm!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like for the sake of domestic bliss you should stick with the nano. Nanos are awesome, give it try and some time.

I see only 1 advantage to the 72 over the nano and that being I would be able to maintain decent temps in the tank for at least 10 to 11 months out of the year without a chiller, the nano with the MH light under the hood will pretty much need a chiller year round.

Tell that to my 28 gallon with MH and no chiller. Yes a chiller is a wonderful thing to have and I wish mine had not died but you can keep a lot of hardy corals without with some simple interventions.

Really! MH light and no chiller? Even on my 72 that was completely open and about 8 to 10 inches from the surface of the water would cause the water temp to increase by 4 to 5 degrees and this nano is totally closed off other than the back of the filter area.

Going to get sand and salt this weekend :D

Got the part for the little Tunze skimmer and installed it, so it's ready to go and the tank is ready for the next stage.
