Some of you may remember a few months ago I asked for opinions on what to do with the 10g nano on my desk. Well I decided to turn it into an "Azoox" or NPS (Non-PhotoSynthetic) tank. It's seen a little neglect as I have not had the time to dedicate to it as I would like, but it's doing OK. The need for near constant feeding for some of the corals has taken it's toll on a few. I'm working on a new auto-feeder that should supply food around the clock so I hope they pull through. Photo's don't turn out well due to the low light, so here's a brief video I thought I'd share.

Excellent looking tank, you have there. Congrats.

What foods do you plan to put in the auto-feeder and how much will it feed at a time. I'm not sure about your DIY, but when I bought an auto-feeder, if just made a mess of my water.

I'll use the same food I feeding manually now...it's a mix of all kinds of stuff for filter feeders...zoo, phyto, rotifers, ect. I'm doing DIY so it will only feed a very, very small amount once an hour all day long. It should be better than me feeding several times a day as it should be almost constant which is what many of the Azoox corals really need to thrive.

    Thanks!

Well, that sounds like it will be perfect. How about a DIY write-up when it's complete? :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have day dreamed about doing such a thing for a long time.

It's a great tank, I hope it evolves into the type of NPS you want.

Thanks. It was one of a handful of things I had not yet tried in 20+ years. It's been a challenge in some new ways, but also fun.
