One second my K4 was going strong and the next second it just stopped. No power outage, my K3 is hooked up on the same outlet and is still going. Has anyone experienced this and if so what should I do. I know that buying a new one is always an option but I would like to try to get this one running.

Sometimes that happens when the pieces of the impeller are slightly out of alignment (maybe something bumped it?). I would take it apart and put it back together again, and see if that helps.

I've rinsed mine in a vinegar water solution before to get algae growth out of them...

I used a 1:5 ratio. Then rinsed thoroughly.

I am glad I didnt run off and by new koralia's. Sounds like this is a common thing with these powerheads. Well better get to cleaning. Is there a certain way to take these apart?

It's very easy to take apart, just twist the front half of the cage and you'll be able to pull the impeller and everything out. I would recommend taking the whole impeller out periodically and soaking everything in a glass of vinegar to get rid of any calcium carbonate deposits. If you don't it's possible that the whole thing will freeze up from precipitation and then you'll need to buy a whole new impeller, or new powerhead.
