    for $6.00/per chipset heatsink & fan combination -- I am expecting a rather high failure rate on the fans; the positive side is that they are very cheap to replace... long term if the failure rate becomes an issues I will have extruded heatsinks created and cool each with a single quality fan. I expect that will happen within the first year of operation... though I may get really lucky and the small fans may last longer than expected.

    At the time I constructed this system, this was the most convient option available.

    What I found to extend the life of those fans are to keep them as clean as possible from dust, but the salt air maybe a problem. Either way you won't know until using them.
