So yesterday I found out my LFS was robbed, I feel terrible for the owner, he keeps such good care of everything they have! Alot of you had seen their Stand at MACNA. It was on the news last night. I feel more bad for all the coral and inverts they had taken, In hopes the theieves know what to do with them! And the losers were even caught on camera!

The store is called A reef creation.. Heres the News video

so sad i have been there a few times. well i know they will get caught but it sucks cause that coral will probably not make it or they will try to sell it online or to another store for nothing. and theres no easy way to trace it that i could think of.

My lfs was robbed a few months ago, why I my first thought. The person who broke in did not even own a tank of any kind.

Having been on the loss end of that as well I know how they feel. I hope the cameras do help catch the idiots that did it. Those were pretty good face shots. They obviously had to be knowlegeable about the store layout to be able to go for the buckets and find their way in the dark, let alone simply knowing what to grab and where it was. I would keep an eye on Craigslist in the surrounding area and let other shops know within a couple hundred mile radius.

it happens more often than you think, one of the local fish stores near me was broke into for corals. he has cameras also. the owner also told me how people steal corals and walk out with them during business hours. i won't say how, i don't want to help the thief's out.

the owner of the store near me is a nice guy i felt bad for him when i heard of the break in.

And the worst part is, they don't give two craps about what happens to the coral or anything else, their just in it for the money.

It's unfortunate but wherever someone can take the easy way out even at some others loss the choice is simple. I find karma happens more often than not.

2 days ago I was driving to purchase a few corals on my birthday, while on way to the store I got caught in a high speed police chase. The speeding driver was stuck behind me going through a tight turn when he bumped my bumper with his truck and tried steering me off the road. I wasn't sure what this guy had done but he had no care for my safety or anyone elses on the road.

It's terrible when yourself, someone you know, or a local business in this case gets hurt. In the end the person usually will get caught. We just have to work together and not let idiots like these think they can do this with no reprocautions.
