Though I would share this, maybe its been done before but I havent ever seen it before. So here We go.

Basically I was ganna make some big bulky Ugly thing to hold this light (Tek) until my canopy go here, and then I decided as I was building it mind you that I could do better. I then decided I wanted the Sleekness of the light stand to be carried over from the light fixture itself and this is what I came up with. Its made Of 3/4" MDF, and halfass painted black becuase I ran out of paint and Didnt want to buy more, I got the important areas done. lol:)

Its incredibly simple but very elegant, Im quite proud of it actually and its very strong. I trust it to hold my 300+ dollar investment over a tank of water. haha

Two actinic bulbs, and two 14000K daylights, from giesman. The pictures don't do the color of the tank justice, its an amazing blue. And ever since I fired up the skimmer, the water has gotten so clean and clear you wouldn't even know its there half the time.

Let me know what y'all think, questions are welcomed. I like answering them. lol.

Its only sagging becuase its just ever so slightly short of 48" and the one end piece somehow pulled in over night. O- well.

Tangster- the Front ones are only in there to keep **** from falling in unil the canopy arrives, I know they are bad, and its only the front quarter covered.
