Interesting on using travertine........I am guessing it was raw travertine and not polished and ready to install as they use ground up travertine and epoxies to fill in the holes in natural travertine?

Yep. These were very raw, very cheap tiles with all the natural holes and imperfections.

I heard you wanted more pics. Enjoy!

    Here is a full shot:

From the side, though we tried to make both sides uniquely interesting.

A top-down of the back corner where my bubbletip hangs out.

Behind the bubbletip. I like that I have this view so I can keep an eye on its health more carefully.

    Nice one of the pot.

These zoas were piggy-backing on an SPS Servillius bought. I gave them a home and they're doing really well. A very pretty dark lavender.

My cinnamon zoas. Each is the size of a quarter.

My Fire and Ice zoas got a bit smooshed, but I have a second colony further down that is doing great too

I have no idea what these are, but I love them.

    Magician's Eye.

My ricordia. I had originally planned on a lot more ricordia and mushrooms, but the zoas were just too neat to pass up every time I was at the fish store.

My little goby. I love him too. His name is Dicon (like the Chinese pickle). He's been around for a couple years now. He had a girlfriend for a bit, but she was too beat up. She lasted about a month before dying. They had started mating at night and everything. Broke my heart that I couldn't save her.

The blueberry is currently closed, but he does that. He opens up in the mornings and evenings when we feed. He already has a ton if new polyps and has learned our schedule. I'm trying to get video of him opening for food. It's amazing. He just explodes in these huge blue puffs. So far, so good! I'll frag him eventually and let you guys know.

And yes, I know the light is crooked. I have it that way so when you sit on my couch, the bulk of the glare is facing away from you. The bright light is bothering my eyes more than my OCD. Also, the hanging kit is adjustable, so I can easily fix it if I want to.

He decided to open up! You can really see the difference.

The tiles and pot give it kind of a "Sunken City" type feel. It's such a cool idea! I think I know how I'm going to do my 90 gallon! :D

It reminds me of seeing "live bottles" haha.

I think it was a conversation about live bottles that lead to the pot idea. We had talked about using a pot to create an anaerobic area for filtration. I have no idea if we were successful, but there is a nice, calm area under it with a sponge for critters. I highly recommend the sponge.

Be careful with tiles and pots. We found that the cheaper we went, the less likely they were to have a bunch of finishing done to them.

Thank you for more pics! Another request: what is the big white gorg and where did you get it?
