I've been thinking about dividing the tank and doing that, the LFS has a nice looking striped angler (not sure the exact species) that looks like it doing pretty well. I think i might hold off and wait for a solid red or solid black one to come in. Or of course maybe for a sargassum angler :). If my refugium wasnt lit 24/7 i'd use that for a grow out tank but that would really stress the fish i'm afraid. Speaking of refugium i better check on it, i've been seeing signs of red algae starting to grow in there.

There are some similar looking fish off the coasts of the US that i'd like to try to keep but some get rather large but they'd look awesome on display...this is the first time i've been actually somewhat sad that i dont live by the ocean.

PS last night i started to see long strands of red slime algae on him...i wonder if he'd eat little hermit crabs....

Pokey is getting moved probably this weekend to the new house, going to be a fun hectic stress filled (for everyone) weekend. 15 or so tanks to tear down drive eight miles and reset in a single room (hopefully) while the rest of the crap (furniture un necessary household goods aka stuff that keeps more tanks out of the picture) gets hauled in and placed, then i get to tank them down spread them out (well the 75 gallon and largers get placed straight away).

If i'm slow on responding its because i'm driving laps moving anything i can carry solo to save trips this weekend with the truck and friendly helpers.

Been thinking about a buddy for him, but at the moment what I REALLY need is an auto replenishment system for the FW make up..good god its hard to keep up with the bugger right now.

PS thanks for the compliments most fish i keep get funny looks and rarely anything positive :D

Incredible fish. I've never seen that species before. Do you mind saying what sate you live in? I'm wondering if it's a fish native to the Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico.

They come from many different waters. The guy in my avatar is one too!
