soi ve been aware of this for quite some time but wanted to have your opinion, i purchased a lobo coral from my lfs at the beginning of may. At the time of purchase, it had 9 heads. It now has 13 heads. The problem is that the color of this coral almost a month after purchase faded, but the coral has continued to grown rapidly. parameters are all normal and lights are only 5 months old. just wondering if anyone has experienced this.
    1 lobo now
    2 lobo then

It could just be reacting to the difference in lighting since you have gotten it home! I bought a 6 head lobo from a LFS, it was all red when i bought it but has morphed to red purple and orange in my tank.

well when i bought it it was receded already - only slightly tho - so perhaps it was doomed from the start

You probably have it under too much light, try lowering it in the tank.
