My mantis died. :(

So, in my fuge i have a shelf for frags, the shelf is next to a divider (both are eggcrate) and there was a little gap in between the shelf and the divider... my mantis was fine for 4 months but then got stuck somehow and lost 2 legs. He seemed fine but was always laying on his back. I did get him to eat and i wasnt too worried, i just thought i had a slightly crippled shrimp. the next day, he molted, wayyy to early. he was soft and really vulnerable. he died last night. he was a g. smithii and about 5 inches long

yeah it actually been hard on me. i thought at first, oh well, just a shrimp, but then remembered that he was the first thing i ever bought, not knowing he needed his own tank haha, but i made him his own mantis friendly (or so i thought) fuge. he had a funny personality and would curl up on his back like a dog

Thats terrible. I have a cleaner, a peppermint and an anemone shrimp and if any of them ever died I would be upset too. They're so neat (not as pretty as a mantis).
